To sum up my experiences as a Nigerian who has decided to keep her hair in its natural state and refuses to chemically straighten it I believe I would be having things much more difficult if I gave a damn what other people thought and said. Nigerians hairstyles symbolized certain things. Here are a few hairstyles that were designed by Nigerian hairstylist for a fashion. This is a specifically Nigerian hairstyle and it was my favorite hairstyle when I was a child. Don't ask me why I just insisted on it whenever it was time to do my hair for school. The black hair is thicker and more resistant to abuse than most others and so lends itself to a very wide variety of styles.
